Only a few days before Ash Wednesday, we were hit with the blizzard of February 8th, 2013 which also happened to be the 35th anniversary of the Blizzard of '78. We were fortunate that we only received 26 inches. Neighboring towns received more and we are thankful that we did not lose electricity like many others did. We have taken the liberty to name it "Snowpocalypse" - after our good Pastor coined the phrase. It's amazing how far the news of the storm spread - Japanese were calling the states to find out how bad it was. The snow is a reminder to us of Our Blessed Mother who is Immaculate. After a snowstorm, everything is quiet and the world appears pristine and beautiful. Thank you Blessed Mother for all your beautiful graces.

TO ADORE OUR LORD!
The Franciscan Handmaids of the Immaculate seek daily to draw closer to Our Lord. Adoration of the Most Holy Sacrament is fundamental to Our spiritual life as we seek to conform our hearts unto His. Additionally, praying the Liturgy of the Hours, the rosary, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and the Sorrows, we place ourselves in the Immaculate Heart of Mary, asking Her to bring us closer to Her Son.
