Taken from the USCCB website: The summit of the Liturgical Year is the Easter Triduum—from the evening of Holy Thursday to the evening of Easter Sunday. Though chronologically three days, they are liturgically one day unfolding for us the unity of Christ's Paschal Mystery.
The single celebration of the Triduum marks the end of the Lenten season, and leads to the Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord at the Easter Vigil.
The liturgical services that take place during the Triduum are:
- Mass of the Lord's Supper
- Good Friday of the Lord's Passion
- Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord
We are so blessed to possess the PEARL OF GREAT PRICE! Our faith that holds so many mysteries, wonders, so much beauty and is the fullness of TRUTH. The Crucified Lord wins the victory and goes before us to prepare the way. This sacred time of year allows us to enter more deeply into the unfathomable Love of our Savior who took upon His Most Pure Flesh our sins, and to make satisfaction for them. How can we ever thank Our Most Holy High Priest, King of Heaven and earth? Pie Jesu! Alleluia Alleluia. For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Holy, Holy Are You Lord God Almighty, Worthy is the Lamb, Worthy is the Lamb!
